Tallahassee police are conducting their first homicide investigation of 2026.

Tallahassee police are working their first homicide investigation of the New Year. TPD says a man was found dead yesterday in the 2900 block of Mission Road.

No further details were provided.

Detectives ask any witnesses to call TPD or remain anonymous by calling Crime Solvers at 850-574-TIPS.

TPD social media announcement:

The Tallahassee Police Department is currently conducting a homicide investigation following an incident that occurred in the 2900 block of Mission Road.

One victim, an adult male was found deceased.

This remains an open and active investigation and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Detectives ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident but did not speak with an officer on scene to please call 850-891-4200. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Solvers at 850-574-TIPS.
