This weekend kicked off the yearly Lemoyne Holiday Show and Sale at the Gadsden Street Gallery. But there were some new attractions this year, which brought in record crowds for Saturday's opener.
Those attractions were dozens of local artists who had exhibits of their works both inside and outside the building. One them was dance-loving ceramist Ken Barker, who calls himself "Ken: The Clogging Potter."
"As I continue to do this, my followers know, 'Okay, we're going to find Ken. He'll be at Lemoyne Arts.'"
Acrylic painter Nora Thomas has fans, too. They were fascinated with her images of animals that echo human emotions and behaviors.
"That's how I view the world and I love expressing that through my art. To me it's really comforting to see that connection and there are other kinds of animals besides people."
Lemoyne's Holiday Show and Sale will go on through Christmas Eve.
