The Tallahassee Police Department says two people were stabbed in an attack at Cascades Park just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Both were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Eyewitnesses say a person they believed to be the suspect jumped into a retaining pond and struggled before going underwater. Officers on the scene attempted to recover him.

In an update posted on social media at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, TPD said the suspect remained at large and urged the public to avoid the area.
