The new eatery will be located on the north ground level of The Industry.

"The Industry," a new downtown residential development on Monroe Street near Tallahassee’s Hotel Duval, will soon have it’s first restaurant. Property developer NAI Talcor President Ed Murray said it will be an upscale eatery.

"We felt like getting Sushi Sake in there would be a tremendous addition for The Industry in addition for (being) the northern anchor of the downtown. There's 40 or 50 of them, predominantly in South Florida. They're a higher-end concept. So we're excited to have this. We think it will do well with the students and the downtown and even the midtown crowd."

To that end, he said the project is on a relatively fast track for completion.

"They hope to have it open in early 2026. That's the plan, so hopefully they'll get open in time for session and draw that additional foot traffic. The square footage is 5,900, heated and cooled."

In addition, Murray said there will be a large courtyard for outdoor dining when weather permits.
