The Seminoles recorded 24 wins for the first time in five years.

Florida State University's women's basketball team (24-9, 13-5 ACC) ended its 2024-25 season Monday evening in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La.

The sixth-seeded Lady Noles fell to third-seeded LSU (30-5, 12-4 SEC) in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

Following a 101-71 defeat, FSU head coach Brooke Wyckoff praised her team.

"Obviously, I hate to end the season like this, but I never want it to overshadow the success we had, all the ways that we’ve grown," said Wyckoff.

O'Mariah Gordon had five assists with her seven point total while Malea Williams put up seven points with four rebounds against the Tigers.

Ta'Niya Latson, the nation's leading scorer, led her team on Monday with 30 points. She broke the school’s single-season women’s basketball scoring record with 710 points while helping her squad win 24 games this season.

FSU concluded with 22 points in the final half of play.

"Obviously congrats to LSU, and they played a really great second half," said Wyckoff. But I'm proud of our team, what we did to get here, what we did to put ourselves in a position to be here."

FSU earned their first NCAA Tournament victory under coach Wyckoff. LSU now advances to the Sweet 16.
