UPDATE: The suspect is dead following a fatal armed robbery in Quincy

The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office says the suspect was killed by SWAT team members this morning after fleeing the deadly gas station robbery Thursday evening.

Update:

The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect accused of killing two people during a robbery at the Mobil station on Pat Thomas Parkway in Quincy Thursday evening is dead.

Investigators say the suspect’s vehicle was spotted this morning in Columbia County. A chase involving several law enforcement agencies ended in a crash.

The driver then shot a Suwannee County deputy, who has non-life threatening injuries. The driver fled on foot and was killed around 9 a.m. in what the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office calls an exchange of gunfire with a SWAT team in the town of Live Oak.

FULL GCSO STATEMENT:
The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office and FDLE are actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Mobil gas station at the corner of 267A (3749 Pat Thomas Pkwy) and Shiloh Road in Gadsden County. As a result of the robbery, four victims were shot and two victims succumbed to their injuries.
