The FSU Men's Basketball team fell short Friday night with an 87-74 loss to the #20 Florida Gators. The Seminoles struggled in the first half, with shots not falling and trailing at one point by 19 points.

The first half ended with a 44-31 Gator lead. The cheering was loud throughout from the crowd of more than 9,700 at the Donald L. Tucker Center. While it was mostly a "home crowd" there were plenty of Gator fans on hand.

The second half was much more competitive with the Noles creating small scoring runs at the Gator lead but could never sustain them. FSU created some late game excitement with an 8-point 'Nole surge bringing the game to within 4 points at 77-73 with just over two minutes left. However, the Gators put it away with a 10-1 run to end the game.
