Florida A&M football spoils Alabama State homecoming, 28-13

Alabama State fell short in its homecoming game against FAMU.

Florida A&M took down the Alabama State Hornets 28-13 on the road Saturday afternoon.

The Hornets scheduled the Rattlers for their homecoming—a game that saw 33,576 fans inside ASU Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama.

FAMU improved to 3-2 on the year and 1-0 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) while the Hornets fell to 2-3 and 1-1.

Florida A&M Quarterback Daniel Richardson led the Rattlers with 196 passing yards and throwing for three touchdowns.

The Rattlers forced three turnovers in Saturday's contest, with Florida A&M turning those takeaways into 14 points.
