The bronze sculptures of Sandy Proctor are celebrated around the world. Now a showcase of works from Proctor's long creative career is on display in his hometown's Lemoyne Art Gallery.

Casting a lifelike form from molten bronze is a lengthy and precise process. That makes Sandy Proctor's vast quantity, as well as quality, of work even more amazing. How many sculptures has he created over the years?

"That's hard to say. I've got 100 - over 100 - public works around the country. And privately, I don't know. A bunch!" Proctor mused during the gala opening at the Lemoyne Gallery on October 1st.

Some of Proctor's very best works are included in that "Halcyon Days" exhibit, which runs through November 2nd.
