Saturday was FAMU’s second consecutive loss.

The Florida A&M Rattlers (2-2) were unable to get the win over Troy (1-3), who entered Saturday’s game 0-3 on the season.

The Rattlers surrendered five touchdowns to the Trojans, with the final score being 34-12.

FAMU quarterback Daniel Richardson completed 25 of 39 of his passes for 288 yards. He found his favorite target wide receiver Jamari Gassett 10 different times for 141 yards.

The Rattler offense at times, looked unstoppable as they reached the redzone five times in the game.

Despite the success offensively, FAMU was forced to settle for field goals four times.

The Trojans finished the night with 507 yards of total offense. Wide receiver Devonte Ross broke the school’s single-game receiving yards record with 229 yards.

It was Gerad Parker’s first win as head coach.

Florida A&M will be back in Bragg Memorial Stadium next week as they move into SWAC play.

The Rattlers will play Alabama A&M @ 6 PM.
