Saturday's 24-21 loss marks the first time in three years the Noles dropped their season opener.

The Florida State Seminoles (0-1) suffered their first loss of the new football season against Georgia Tech (1-0) on Saturday evening in Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

FSU head coach Mike Norvell told the press after the game, he’s proud of the way his guys prepared, but in the end, his team lacked execution.

“I’ve got to be better to be able to help put our guys in position to go make those plays in the moment," Norvell said. "The importance of every snap in that game was monumental.”

Florida State tied the game 21-21 with 6:33 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Yellow Jackets then drove 49 yards to set up the game-winning field goal to secure the 24-21 victory.

The Noles will host Boston College on Monday, Sept. 2nd. Kickoff starts @ 7:30 P.M. at Doak Campbell Stadium.
