Florida State is headed to Super Regionals for the first time since 2019.

Florida State University's baseball team (46-15, 17-12 ACC) is making history as players prepare to take on the University of Connecticut in FSU’s 18th NCAA Super Regional tournament.

The Noles clinched their first regional final in seven years on Sunday, after defeating the University of Central Florida, 12-4.

“Proud of what the city got to enjoy and the way this event was put on," FSU baseball coach Link Jarrett said after the 12-4 win over UCF in the regional final.

"It hasn't happened here in awhile. I thought everything was frontline and front class. I thought the fans added such a touch to this.”

Florida State will play the UConn Huskies (35-24, 17-4 Big East) in a best of three series on Friday in Dick Howser Stadium.

The two have met once before, when the Huskies defeated the Seminoles in the 1957 College World Series.
