Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare celebrates the service of the region's first responders

St. Joe Police Department Chaplain Kenneth Frame welcomed the more than 100 honorees, their family members and agency colleagues to the awards ceremony.

More than 100 first responders from North Florida and South Georgia were honored for their service on Friday, May 24th. The ceremony at the Tallahassee Community College Ghazvini Center was hosted by Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

The honorees represented forty emergency response agencies in the region.

Port St. Joe Police Department Chaplain Kenneth Frame was the master of ceremonies.

"The purpose is to celebrate these first responders that put their lives on the line every single day to keep us all safe."

Some of the honorees were accompanied by their agency heads, including Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell.

"Onw od oue majors is getting recognized for her community service, so it's a great thing when people in the community recognize the service that those who live to serve perform."

The awards celebrated outstanding service to the public over the course of the past year.
