Leon County Commissioner Christian Caban is launching a campaign for re-election to a second term.
Caban was first elected in 2022 to represent District 2, which spreads across Southwest Leon and is one of the lowest-income zip codes in the state.
A businessman, Caban says his wins for the district include the start of a bus stop lighting program in Fort Braden and Woodville to keep children safe en route to and from school.
He also points to septic-to-sewer conversions in Woodville, the widening of Capital Circle Southwest, and overall road safety enhancements.
Caban says his leadership on the Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency board has protected tax dollars from, quote, “runaway spending.”
He has no challengers at this point.
