For the fourth consecutive year, the Florida State women's soccer team are champions of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Top-ranked Seminoles beat the Clemson Tigers 2-1, in the final round of the ACC tournament

Saturday’s championship game featured two of the top programs in the ACC. The No.1 Florida State Seminoles (16-0-1) entered the matchup unbeaten and were the defending champs.

The Noles took on no. 7 Clemson team (15-3-3) that had only lost two games and were ranked No. 7 overall. But FSU’s defense helped keep the Tigers at bay.

FSU Senior and A-C-C offensive player of the year, Onyi Echegini, scored both goals. She earned MVP honors for her performance and was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team, along with four other Noles. Saturday’s victory secured FSU’s 10th ACC tournament championship, with nine of them coming in the past 11 years.

This week, the team will be turning its focus to the Women's College Cup where the Noles will compete in a tournament for the Division I Women's Soccer Championship.
