Florida State women's soccer team (11-0-1, 6-0-1) secured another victory at home against No. 11 Notre Dame (9-2-3, 5-1-1) on Thursday evening.

Thursday's victory is the 28th consecutive win at home for the Lady Noles when they are ranked No. 1

Teamwork and having fun, that’s what Florida State University women’s soccer head coach Brian Pensky said is the reason his team is so successful.

On Thursday evening, the No.1 Seminoles (11-0-1, 6-0-1) secured another victory at home against Notre Dame (9-2-3, 5-1-1), who were quarter finalists in the women’s soccer tournament last season.

"Its our second great team win a row, where contributions from a lot of people, scoring a lot of goals, and having a lot of fun," said Pensky after the game.

The Lady Noles started off slow in the first half but were able to get things going in the second, to secure a 4-1 win over the Fighting Irish.

“It's a good win. I think continuing to grow confidence as a team. While that might sound silly, we're still a new team. This is only our twelfth game. But we're still figuring some things out.”

With Thursday's win, Florida State now sits on top of the Atlantic Coast Conference and remain undefeated at home when they are ranked number one.

The Seminoles will be back at home next Thursday. They'll be taking on the 17th ranked Pittsburgh Panthers. That game is set to begin at 7pm.
