Residents of Tallahassee are mourning the death of a 13-year-old boy who died after he was hit by a car while walking.

The devastating accident happened Wednesday morning around 7:10 in the 2700 block of Blair Stone Road. That’s where the Tallahassee Police Department says the boy was struck while crossing the four-lane road with his mom and sibling.

Officers are actively investigating the cause of the crash. No arrests have been made.

Residents took to social media to send out prayers for the boy’s family as they also pointed out reckless driving patterns that take place in that area.
