Gadsden County Commissioners are holding a workshop on to learn more about financing options for public infrastructure and development projects.

According to a county spokesperson, commissioners will go over how to access municipal bonds that can later be used to fund projects, such as building schools, roads, or sewer systems.

The training comes months after the commission approved $300,000 to start an Emergency Repair Program, just for Gadsden residents.

Commissioners say the program will assist homeowners with critical repairs such as roofing and plumbing. The commission will set the rules for eligibility at the workshop.

The event will be held this Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the Gadsden County Board of County Commissioner meeting chamber.
