Florida A&M women’s bowling team is welcoming Capri Howard as its new head coach. FAMU's Vice President & Director of Athletics Tiffani-Dawn Sykes made the announcement last Friday.

Howard replaces former head coach Karen Brown, who retired last year after spending 11 seasons with the Rattlers.

Howard is a former collegiate bowler from Jackson State University. While in college, Howard made three Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) title appearances and was named to four All-SWAC teams.

In a press release, Howard said she looks to use her experience to help bring FAMU its first championship, a feat the club nearly pulled off last season when the Lady Rattlers finished third in the SWAC Tournament.

Howard's official start date is set for August 28th.
