Big Bend area schools will be closed tomorrow due the advancement of Tropical Storm Nicole.

Leon, Franklin, Madison Wakulla and Jefferson school districts have announced closures for Thursday. Florida A&M University is shutting down along with its satellite campuses in Miami, Jacksonville and Orlando. Tallahassee Community College will be closed along with the main campus of Florida State University.

Many students were already expected to be out on Friday for Veterans Day.

The Big Bend is set to feel the impacts of the storm Thursday. The Florida Department of Education has a running list of school district, college and university closures.

The list is here.
