Leon County Commissioner Rick Minor will keep his seat. Minor took more than 56 percent of the vote in Tuesday’s elections—winning the race outright. He said he looks forward to continuing to serve his constituents in District Three.
“I love the job. The issues are heavy. They’re big issues that we deal with. But I think I have a reputation of listening to people and looking for all points of view and really thinking hard about what the right course of action is for the people that live here," Minor said.
Minor said addressing homelessness, poverty and affordable housing are some of his priorities. He bested Joey Lamar and Victor Damon who took about 25 and 18 percent of the vote respectively.
