A funeral procession starting at 9:20 this morning will make its way from Governor's Square Mall to Tallahassee Police headquarters to the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, where the memorial service for Tallahassee Police Officer Christopher Fariello starts at 11 a.m. Doors open at 10 a.m.

To honor Fariello’s memory and law enforcement service, Gov. Ron DeSantis has ordered U.S. and State of Florida flags flown at half-staff until sunset. The order applies to flags at the Tallahassee Police Department, Tallahassee City Hall, Leon County Courthouse, and the Capitol.

Fariello was killed in a crash last week while on duty. The fleeing suspect accused of causing the crash is being held without bond.

The “Celebration of Life” for Fariello will be streamed on the City of Tallahassee’s YouTube page.
