Tallahassee's Railroad Square Art Park hosted a post-Thanksgiving "Family Day." The event drew significant numbers of people all day. Among those people was Leon County Commissioner Brian Welch. He and his family were checking out the many shops and artists' studios within the park.

"It makes my heart happy to see folks out here getting behind something we can all support, which is our local businesses in our local community, getting together and supporting everything it means to be family. We all have families, different ages, different stages, but at the end of the day, our community is Tallahassee/Leon County. We're all in this together and it's days like this that reinforce that notion," he remarked.

More than two-dozen Railroad Square merchants and artists held special sales during the day, which was also marked by nonstop entertainment and other attractions.
