Gadsden County Commissioners voted to approve a stay at home order Friday morning. Several counties across the state have done the same to limit the chance of spreading COVID-19. Commissioner Anthony Viegbesei says they are doing their job to help the country.

“We don’t have any case but we are making all preventative measure to prevent, to keep that the same way," Viegbesei said.

Viebesei says by making sure travel is limited in the county they can help flatten the curve. Currently 48 of the 67 counties across the state have at least one case of coronavirus. One person who resides in Gadsden County tested positive for coronavirus but was out of state and is quarantining before returning.

The curfew for the order will be 9:00 pm to 6:00 am.
