Bill Schack is running for a seat on Tallahassee’s City Commission. He works as the Food Services Director for the Kearney Center.

Schack ran in 2018 and lost to Jeremy Matlow. This time he hopes to oust Curtis Richardson, who has served on the commission since 2014. Richardson worked alongside Scott Maddox, who pleaded guilty to federal corruption charges. That’s why Schack believes Richardson needs to be replaced.

“Once Tallahassee replaces Curtis Richardson we can start fresh," Schack says. "We can start new, and we can lead our—you know, lead into a new decade. You know, my campaign slogan is new decade, new voice, and that’s what we need on the city commission, and I think the last piece in the puzzle is replacing Curtis Richardson."

Schack’s top priorities include cutting down on crime by giving more funds to law enforcement. He says Tallahassee residents are distrustful of the police. Shack says he hopes to change that by pairing kids with officers who can mentor them. He also wants to fund non-profits that prevent kids from getting into crime.
