Tyndall Air Force Base is still recovering from Hurricane Michael. Currently though as construction still takes place no new projects can be started until they receive more funds from the Congress.

President Donald Trump toured the base Wednesday afternoon. Colonel Brent Hyden with the bases Program Management Office believes this is a chance to show the commander in chief what they need most.

“We are eager to put our best foot forward and show were a great investment its critical for national defense and we’ve got a really good plan for going ahead and proceeding with the rebuild. We just need the greenlight,” said Hyden

President Trump is expected to do a windshield tour of the base and from there on he will be hosting a rally afterwards at the Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater.
