Heroes and Helpers is bringing holiday cheer to Tallahassee youth tomorrow, December 6. It’s a partnership with the Tallahassee Police Department and Target.

Kids will be paired with officers from TPD and able to use Target gift cards to purchase items for themselves and their families. Damon Miller is a spokesman with TPD.

“Target’s been with us strong and we’ve had a great experience just to be with them and just everyone that works there at the store itself, from the top person to the bottom, is just really helpful to us and were just grateful to have that partnership.”

Miller says the program helps officers build positive relationships with community members.
