The race for Tallahassee Mayor is seeing a growing list of potential candidates and another may soon be jumping in. Dustin Daniels, chief of staff to Mayor Andrew Gillum, has released a video suggesting he too may be eyeing the seat.
In the video, posted to Daniels' facebook page, he talks about the influence his grandmother had on his life, and reflects on the partnerships Mayor Andrew Gillum formed while in office.
“For the last several years, no matter the challenges, our almost 3,000 employees and the community, has worked together to achieve some remarkable things. I’m proud to be one of these individuals," he says in the video.

Daniels sent Gillum a letter in March stating his last day on the job will be April 13th.
Should he decide to run for Mayor Daniels will join County Commissioner John Dailey, Erik David and Joe West. City Commissioner Curtis Richardson is considering a run as well. The scramble for the chair was set off after Senator Bill Montford decided to remain in the chamber.
