Florida's 2nd Congressional District

Amanda Green is set to represent Democrats in the race for Florida’s Second Congressional District. She beat out three other candidates to earn the party’s nod and will go up against Republican Austin Rogers in November.

The seat is vacant after incumbent Republican Congressman Neal Dunn declined to seek reelection. In total, eight Republicans and four Democrats are running to replace him.

In an interview with WFSU, she said she’s running with the goal of addressing what she calls “the chaos in Washington” that she thinks is impacting the pocketbooks of Panhandle residents.

The first Democrat to enter the race dropped out.
