Two north Florida commissioners sit among top leadership positions for the Florida Association of Counties.
The Association elected Wakulla County Commissioner, Ralph Thomas to the office as 2nd Vice President last Friday.
“Glad to be on board it’s a great team that predates me and I just want to do everything that I can to preserve what’s there and continue to make it a benefit to our counties to our citizens and our state,” Thomas said.
He will be joining Leon County Commissioner Nick Maddox, who serves as President-Elect and 1st Vice President Mayor Melissa McKinley of Palm Beach County.
The association helps counties by advocating and lobbying for issues usually pertaining to home rule.
