Three Floridian Democratic politicians are lashing out against Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Ron DeSantis. They’re upset about a 2013 vote he cast as a Congressman. The vote was against the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which provides funding and resources to fight domestic violence.
State Senator Annette Taddeo calls DeSantis the real ‘extremist’ in the governor’s race.
"The words ‘extremist’ and ‘radical’ have been thrown around a lot – usually as a cheap and false attack line," Taddeo said. "I want to take the opportunity to say I think its actually radical and extreme to vote against the victims of domestic violence."
Nancy Soderberg is the U.S. Ambassador who is running for the congressional seat DeSantis just stepped down from. She calls DeSantis’ ‘no’ vote consistent with his entire voting record. U.S. Representative Lois Frankel is also sounding off about DeSantis’ vote.
