In Continued Jobs Push, Gov. Scott To Head To California

Florida Channel

Governor Rick Scott is planning a trade delegation to California.

Scott intends to attend a late Monday morning forum in California called the Valley Industry and Commerce Association Leaders Forum. It’s part of his continuing push to get more businesses to move to Florida with the help of his Lieutenant Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera.

“What do citizens want? Let’s think about a typical family in Florida,” said Scott, recently. “1) They want a job! That’s why we’re going to continue to reduce taxes so we can get more companies here. As you know, I came back from a trade mission in Philadelphia about four weeks ago. Carlos just got back from Peru two weeks ago doing a trade mission. I’ll be going out to LA for two days to get more jobs out of there. So, the tax cuts are going to help that.”

Scott made those comments Wednesday following Miami-Dade County Days at the Capitol.
