Person Who Lit Woman On Fire At South Monroe Street Taco Bell In Custody

The Tallahassee Police Department says its taken the person suspected of throwing gasoline on a woman and lighting her on fire at the Taco Bell on South Monroe Street.  

The incident happened Wednesday evening around 6:18 p.m.

The woman was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.

The suspect is 32-year-old Mia Williams. Williams identifies as a black woman. They quickly left the restaurant after the attack wearing a black shirt with white writing, a red headwrap, and several necklaces.

TPD is also trying to determine whether the two people knew one another and what prompted the attack.
