After Hurricane Michael, Bay County is rushing to fill open positions.
The Bay County Board of Commissioners is hosting a one-day only job fair in the Bay County Government center. Commissioners are conducting interviews of qualified candidates in hopes to expedite the hiring process. Immediately after selection, candidates are to complete a two week screening process, after which they can begin work. The county is calling for a total of 18 positions to be filled with majority of the need in maitenence workers. The following positions are also up for grabs: an animal control officer, three parks workers, two equipment operators, four Senior maitenance workers, and one WW facilities operator trainee, with the possibility of other vacanies opening as well.
