School Board members in Florida are likely to keep their salaries, for now. The Florida Senate has dropped a plan that would have replaced salaries with stipends, and is now only focused on term limits. Yet as Lynn Hatter reports, in addition to term limits—the proposal also includes language around how schools select classroom and library materials while giving parents more power to get rid of books they don’t like.

Tom Flanigan reports the Florida Senate moved forward today with a bill imposing a 15-week deadline on abortion.

The Florida Legislature is moving toward passing legislation that some say is designed to address the employment crisis in nursing homes. But as WMFE's Joe Byrnes reports, not everyone is on board with the proposed changes and many believe nursing home residents will suffer.
