A Leon County fight over how to help and instruct LGBTQ students has made it into a legislative debate over how schools talk about such issues with children. And as Lynn Hatter reports, one case in Leon County has become a cornerstone of the arguments

Just days after clearing a pivotal house vote, the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill passed its first and only Senate committee stop Monday. As Sarah Mueller reports, it now heads to the Senate floor, but at least one of the chamber’s Republicans isn’t on board.

The clock is ticking for Florida lawmakers to get dozens of bills across the finish line before the legislative session wraps up next Friday. Today [Tuesday] in the House, lawmakers spent all day discussing a host of measures.
