A deal struck last year between the legislature and the state’s main affordable housing arm appears to be in jeopardy as the House and Senate prepare to reconcile their rival spending plans. Lynn Hatter reports housing advocates are hoping the Senate will hold firm with its spending proposal on housing.

His killing by a neighborhood watch volunteer, who was ultimately not convicted, led to protests across the country as the world weighed in. On February 5th, Trayvon Martin's parents -- Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton -- led a rally in Miami.
