Florida lawmakers will deal with the pandemic’s impact on education when they reconvene in Tallahassee next month. Among the issues, a steep drop in student attendance, growing concerns about learning losses and a Republican effort to consolidate the state’s school choice programs. Lynn Hatter reports the educational landscape is rocky.

Governor Ron DeSantis this week announced proposed legislation targeting big tech giants that own social media platforms. He accuses them of censoring conservative voices. Gina Jordan spoke with legal experts who say the proposed crackdown is unconstitutional.
