Forbes magazine named Florida A & M University one of America’s Top Colleges for 2015, as well as one of the Best Colleges in the South. University officials say they’ve brought the school’s teaching methods into the 21st century.
FAMU joins the ranks of universities like Harvard and Brown on the list and Provost Marcella David says being included is reflective of efforts to create the best learning environment for a new generation of tech-savvy students.
“We will open up a new math lab, and we have other learning labs on campus," says David. "All of those are the kinds of strategies that we are employing for student success and it’s great to have the recognition.”
Like FAMU, many U.S universities are also working more advanced technologies into teaching and learning.
