
Mike Plummer
Senior ProducerMike Plummer is an award-winning content producer and video editor for television at WFSU Public Media. He spent 25 years in commercial television as an art director, commercial director, promotion manager, station manager and creative services director, before coming to WFSU Public Media in 2008. He is also part of the WFSU emergency response satellite communications team for FDEM during declared statewide emergencies. Mike likes to find unusual, out-of-the-ordinary and humorous stories in our area. He says, “I have finally learned that history can be fun.” Mike thinks the best part of his job is getting to meet different people and discovering obscure local lore. Viva, Florida Man! Mike is widowed, has a rescue dog named Dexter, prefers jalapeno-stuffed olives, and is constantly at war with the vines growing in his backyard.
