Join clay artist, Nancy Jefferson for fun with clay in the LeMoyne Arts Studios. All techniques of hand-building and wheel throwing will be explored. Small classes are designed to teach a combination of beginners and advanced students together which adds more depth to each class. Beginners can learn the wheel or how to create anything by hand-building. From functional to sculptural, the sky is the limit as to what you can create! Nancy is a seasoned Master Potter with over 45 years of experience who loves to go outside the box. If there is something special you wish to make, Nancy will show you how! Opportunity to register for an additional one-day workshop on Alternative Firings – Raku, Smoke, Sagger & Sawdust at the end of the class series. We are excited to have Tomas Guerrero, the director of the legendary Santo Rico Dance Company. It was founded in New York and is now currently based in Orlando, Florida. Tomas Guerrero, has significantly influenced and shaped the style of Mambo dance as we know it through his work over the past two decades. Coming from a street dance background, Tomas is an innovator in the art of dancing mambo-style salsa. In 1998 he developed the “Santo Rico Spin Technique,” where he incorporated multiple continuous spins in his choreographies and established a curriculum for multiple spins for follows. Under Tomas’ direction, Santo Rico became one of the world’s most influential salsa dance organizations, serving as an inspiration and training platform, especially for New York’s most well-known dancers, performers, instructors, directors, and dance companies. He will be teaching a salsa footwork and partnerwork class on May 25th from 9-10:30 pm. Social dancing starts at 10:30 pm. Don't miss it.

This curator-led tour will introduce works of art and craft in Pebble Hill's permanent collection made exclusively by women. Enjoy learning about who these women were and the talents and skills they possessed. Come away with an appreciation of their respective disciplines and the significance of their place in women's history. Dora Wheeler Keith, Josephine Herrick, and Eleanor Beard are among the fascinating women to be included in this in-depth tour and exploration of women who left their mark on history.
