The Music Man

The Music Man

Trouble? Right here? In Tallahassee?  When “Professor” Harold Hill, the smooth-talking traveling salesman arrives in River City, Iowa on July 4, 1912, he quickly has everyone eating out of his hand. A fast talking salesman, Hill cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize, even though he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. But, this time he meets his match in town librarian Marian Paroo. She steals his heart and the con man faces a tough choice: love or money

Funny, warm, romantic and touching, this production is family entertainment at its best with a score that includes beloved favorites such as “Goodnight My Someone,” “The Wells Fargo Wagon, “Trouble” and “76 Trombones.”

With a cast of nearly 52 area high school students and an orchestra of equally talented high school musicians, The Music Man, is a produciton you will not want to miss.  With spectacular sets, energetic dancing, amazing music and glorious vocals, the Leon High School summer musical will be the highlight of your summer.
