Join us at the Florida Historic Capitol Museum as we commemorate a lesser-known Revolutionary War victory – the 245th anniversary of the fall of British Pensacola to Spain. Presented by author and speaker Mike Bunn, this engaging talk will bring guests closer to understanding the often-overlooked tensions in Florida - a British outpost surrounded by American Patriots. Mr. Bunn is author of the book The Fourteenth Colony: The Forgotten Story of the Gulf South During America’s Revolutionary Era, which will be available for purchase at the event.

This program is part of The George Washington Experience, the Museum’s signature project for the America250 commemoration. Throughout 2026, key long-term and strategic investments will ensure an enduring symbol of our democracy is preserved for and made accessible to future Floridians.
