Public Opening – Generations Solo Exhibition by Julie Torres
Friday, May 15, 2026, from 5pm–7:30pm
Step into an evening of art, ideas, and community at Gadsden Arts. Join us
to experience the powerful and approachable work of contemporary artist
Julie Miller Torres in Generations, an exhibition that brings big ideas—like
democracy, justice, and representation—to life through visually striking,
handcrafted art.
The evening features a special talk by Harvard graduate and FSU College
of Law faculty member Dr. Jacob Eisler, who will explore the lasting impact
of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the role of law and democracy in our
everyday lives—offering insight that connects directly to Torres’ work.
Make it a night out—bring friends, enjoy refreshments, meet the artist, and
explore even more art throughout the museum, including residual heat:
FSU Student Exhibition and the Gadsden Arts Artists Guild exhibition.
Doors open at 5 PM, with Dr. Eisler’s presentation at 6 PM in the Sara May
Love Gallery.
Admission is free for museum members, children, and college
students. Nonmember adults: $5.
Support for this program is provided by the National Endowment for the
Arts, celebrating NEA America250: Arts Projects Honoring the National
Garden of American Heroes.
