The Identity Affirmation Clinic is a holistic legal clinic that encourages individuals to celebrate and affirm their identity however makes them the most comfortable. Over 14 community partners, including Equality Florida, Planned Parenthood, and Common Grounds Closet will be on site providing resources. Student advocates from Florida State University College of Law will help participants navigate the complex and bureaucratic process of petitioning for a name change. Student advocates from the Claude Pepper Elder Law Clinic will also be on site offering free simple advanced directives to ensure that participants can control who they want to make decisions for them.
