Saturday's 22-18 victory improved Florida A&M's record to 2-0 on the season.

The Florida A&M Rattlers (2-0) came out victorious Saturday night against the visiting South Carolina State Bulldogs (0-1).

FAMU was down 11 points in the second half, but found a way to score a late touchdown in the final few minutes of the game to beat the Bulldogs 22-18.

Florida A&M’s offense was led by their rising star transfer quarterback Daniel Richardson, who compiled 282 passing yards and threw three touchdown passes.

Saturday’s victory was the first home win for first-year head coach James Colzie III.

β€œWe want to stay undefeated,” Colzie said after the game. β€œWe want to protect our homes. We had a big-time crowd out there tonight and that’s the thing for us, we do not lose at Bragg.”

FAMU has now won 21 straight games at home, the second-longest home winning streak in the Football Championship Subdivision.
