FWC: Fish Dumped At Tyndall Not A Coincidence

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is reaching out to Bay County residents for information about a recent fish dumping at a boat ramp on Tyndall Air Force Base. FWC officials say the more than 100 pounds of dead fish were caught with illegal gill nets.

New details about the October escapes of two inmates locked up at a Franklin County prison suggest investigators are dealing with an organized criminal operation and investigators say more arrests are imminent.

Officials from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Department of Corrections and Clerks of Court confirm the forged documents that convicts Joseph Jenkins and Charles Walker used to escape were manufactured within the prison’s walls. But, FDLE Commissioner Gerald Bailey explained that there’s no indication the inmates had help from corrections staff.

Over medication and improper supervision may have caused the deaths of three patients at a privately run mental health facility in Florida last year.  That’s what a recently completed investigation by the Florida Department of Children and Families revealed when it looked into GEO Care’s South Florida State hospital.
