Ideal weather over the weekend also helped swell the ranks of festival-goers.

For 60 years, Tallahassee's Greek Food Festival has been one the Capital Region's star attractions. This year was no exception.

The festival, on the grounds of Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church on Phillips Road, is a showcase of Greek music, dancing, singing and of course:

"The food! I come here every year for the gyros, baklava and Greek fries. And then I'm out!" laughed a happy attendee who preferred not to give his name.

There were also many booths sharing Greek produce. Andreas Kouskoulas (KOOS-ko-las) is an award-winning producer of Greek olive oil.

"You love your olive trees, you produce a good olive oil. Everything is what you make it with love!"

And the thousands of people who packed the festival grounds Friday and Saturday also proved that the love of authentic Greek food is a universal love.
