Hundreds of utility crews are on standby ahead of Hurricane Isaias landfall to respond to the needs of impacted citizens.

Talquin Electric says it is ready to respond in Leon, Liberty, Wakulla and Gadsden counties.

Florida Power and Light CEO Scott Bores also updated customers on a plan of action ahead of the storm.

“I want to set expectations; this is a very strong and dangerous storm. We are going to have outages,” Bores said.

Officials urge residents to charge phones, have batteries ready for flashlights, enable weather alerts and don’t try to navigate floodwaters.
