The Trump Administration's recent ramp up of verbal and economic attacks on Cuba has put the island nation back in the spotlight. A unique view of the Cuban people will be on display in Thomasville beginning this Thursday.

The artist is photographer Richard Bickel and his exhibit is entitled "No Borders;" an extreme close-up of a population both brave and beleaguered.

"Their resilience, their resourcefulness against all odds. I've done 7 trips just in the last 2 years and things continue to go downhill."

The exbibit at the Thomasville Center for the Arts is also a fundraiser for those Cubans most in need.

"On the 20th we'll have an opening night - that's the 20th of August - and then it will run until October 30th."
